Biodiesel is a renewable green fuel obtained through the transformation of animal and vegetable fats, as well as used oil. This biodiesel can replace fossil diesel. The production of biodiesel from recycled oils is comparable in quality to that virgin vegetable oil biodiesel with an added attractive advantage of being lower in price. The current research was therefore to study the production of biodiesel from used frying oil for fried banana in P

To fulfill the increasingly stringent emission regulations, several technologies have been developed in the past to eliminate pollutants from the exhaust gas of diesel-powered engines. Around this subject matter, a lot of research efforts have been put to find suitable catalytic systems and to understand the mechanistic backgrounds of chemical processes on the catalytic surface. One technology for NOx reduction in vehicles as well as in other com

17-α-ethynylestradiol (EE2) biodegradation was conducted using biofilm reactor in a medium containing both EE2 and glucose as organic carbon sources and in a medium without glucose and EE2 as the sole organic carbon source. The factors affecting the biodegradation are initial pH, initial EE2 concentration, initial nitrogen content, and biomass volume. Response surface methodology (RSM) and central composite design (CCD) were applied to determine

River bank stability is very sensitive to the variation of the water level (WL) of the river. This is the case along the Lower Mekong River which WL change between dry and wet seasons is about 10m. This paper presents a study of river bank stability subjected to variations of the water level. Dupuit assumption is supposed to find the variation of WL in the soil using a numerical solution by an explicit finite difference method. The mass sliding S

Spatial distribution of soil data is a current issue with which most of areas are being faced. Imba-Numa watershed, Japan, is also one among those areas which lack of spatial data of soil parameters. This study aims to generate spatially distribution of soil properties which consist of soil particles, total carbon, total nitrogen and Bulk density in Imba-Numa watershed. Three geostatistical interpolation methods: Ordinary Kriging (OK), Universal

Localization of the plate region is one of the critical tasks in the automatic vehicle license plate recognition (AVLPR) system. In this work, the algorithm for Cambodian license plate localization based on the mid-gray image removal combined with the connected component analysis (CCA) is proposed. We test our proposed technique with 70 images which are captured from some distances and viewpoints. As the result of the simulation, it shows the suc

A Cambodian clay deposit was used for the development of tile formulations using the statistical design of mixture experiments. Besides the clays, commercial feldspar and silica sand (quartz) were also used to prepare ten different tile formulations. The specimens were fabricated by pressing (30 MPa) and then fired at 1170 oC. T e sintered specimens were characterized for their linear firing shrinkage, water absorption and modulus of rupture. Reg

In the last time the driven pile and bored pile foundation are widely used in Cambodia. And for calculation the bearing capacity of bored pile foundation we have a lot of equations to resolve it by using soil parameters from laboratory test and in-situ test such as static cone penetration test, dynamic cone penetration test, pressiometer test and standard penetration SPT.The problem for us is the inability to take undisturbed sample like the sand

This paper presents about our research in social search. Generally, the research in social search falls into two principal challenges. The first challenge is how to find more relevant answers to the question. The second one is how to increase speed in finding relevant answers. Recently, we had provided an algorithm called Question Waves (QW) to find more relevant answers compared to the baseline algorithmbreadth-first search(BFS). But, the search
